WONDERLAB Returns to the China International Consumer Products Expo as Probiotic Sales Surpass 600 Million Bottles

2025-04-15

On April 13, the six-day fifth China International Consumer Products Expo (CICPE) opened in Haikou. More than 1,700 consumer-goods companies from 71 countries and regions, representing over 4,100 consumer brands, took part across emerging fields including fashion, technology and health consumption. With the theme “Sharing Open Opportunities and Creating a Better Life Together,” the expo created a platform for global companies to access the Chinese market and for Chinese companies to expand internationally.

Representative companies from many sectors of Shenzhen were active at the annual national-level expo. WONDERLAB, a health and wellness company, returned to CICPE for the second time as one of the Shenzhen representatives. At the event, WONDERLAB officially announced that cumulative sales of its probiotic products across all channels had exceeded 600 million bottles in March 2025. Several products use the company’s proprietary strains, and its flagship offerings attracted attention as soon as they were presented.

As a Shenzhen-based biotechnology innovation company, WONDERLAB has long used R&D innovation to drive its growth. Representative products shown at CICPE—including the popular weight-management product SHAPE100™ (nicknamed “S100”) and 50+™ Probiotics for older adults—use strains from the company’s proprietary GOLDGUT® series and have received positive market feedback.

In March, in response to China’s Weight Management Year initiative and with the aim of promoting healthier weight-management practices through science-based approaches, WONDERLAB introduced its “Targeted Microbiome Management Method™” concept based on its accumulated R&D experience. Paired with the flagship products in its weight-management line, the concept again drew market attention. The full weight-management range was presented at CICPE and became a popular attraction in the exhibition hall.

Following its appearance at the 2024 China International Import Expo, WONDERLAB returned to another national-level exhibition to showcase its R&D capabilities. Staff at the event explained that this was WONDERLAB’s second CICPE appearance. Through CICPE as an international bridge, the company can share evidence-based probiotic products from China—including its representative All-in-One Probiotics (nicknamed “Blue Bottle”)—with consumers around the world. These products represent both “Made in Shenzhen” and “Shenzhen gifts.” WONDERLAB aims to use R&D innovation to advance biotechnology and continue using the expo platform to bring consumers worldwide new experiences in health and nutrition.

At the event, reporters learned that WONDERLAB and Hainan University had established the Hainan University–WONDERLAB Tropical Probiotics Joint Research Center in March. The partners are preparing to commercialize what the source describes as the world’s first tropical probiotic strain, with products expected to reach the market in the near future. The following year’s CICPE may feature tropical-probiotic products from Hainan.
